About Collar Works

Collar Works is a non-commission art space located in Troy, New York dedicated to the support of emerging and under-represented artists, working in any media, exhibiting challenging and culturally relevant contemporary artworks. Expanding the current art vernacular in New York’s Capital Region, Collar Works provides a venue for community dialogue focused on serious, provocative and spirited artworks. In 2010, Collar Works transformed 2700 decaying and disheveled square feet of a former textile manufacturing building, located at 444 River Street, into a gorgeous and dynamic gallery space. Now, in its new home at 621 River Street in the Hudson Arthaus building since 2015, Collar Works continues to thrive with visual arts installations and a growing group of dedicated patrons.
